Tiel Family Charities (TFC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting ongoing research for Multiple Sclerosis. This disease personally affected the Tiel family when, Daniel, who had MS since age 12, was finally properly diagnosed at age 18. By the age of 28, despite many medication trials, Daniel continued to decline, losing mobility and becoming almost completely housebound for three or more years.

Three months after Daniel received HSCT treatment, he was no longer wheelchair-bound and his cane was hanging on the back of his chair. Since then, Daniel continues to improve and is once again engaging in the normal everyday activities of a 29-year-old. TFC wants to help facilitate the journey of HSCT for other families who may find themselves in our former situation.

We realize HSCT is not the answer for everyone. It is not appropriate for every patient. Nevertheless, we are incredibly passionate that this information should be available to those who seek it. When patients are declining and watching their lives slip through their fingers, they deserve a chance. Any chance. And, just like Daniel, they will stop at nothing to get it.
